This is "Pippin ".

This was a commission piece completed on 23 March2008. She was drawn using Faber Castell pastel pencils and sticks and Derwent pastel pencils on light grey coloured Hahnemuhle Velour paper. Finished portrait size is 8 " x 10 ".

Unfortunately Pippin is no longer with us, but during her lifetime she used to watch through the window and wait for her owner to come home. This is why this pose was chosen for her portrait.

The reference photograph was only very small and I had no other reference pictures available to use so that is why the detail in Pippin's face is very limited.
