Terms & Conditions for commissions.

Photographs:-

Clients' photographs must be approved by Marie Huntrods before the order is confirmed. I, Marie Huntrods, have the right to refuse commissions if I believe the photographs are not of a sufficient quality to produce a suitable portrait.

If clients wish to use photographs taken by another party, eg. by a professional photographer or studio, it is the responsibility of the client to obtain written permission from the copyright© holder and provide proof of this at the time of ordering.

Payment:-

Commission orders will only be accepted when accompanied by a 20% deposit (which is non-refundable).

All portraits remain the property of Marie Huntrods until the full payment has been made and cleared.

Prices:-

Commission fees are as per the current Price list.
If a client would like a portrait producing a different medium to those stated on the price list, this will be subject to negotiation with the client and agreed before any work is undertaken. A quotation will be sent to the client for their approval, the quoted price will be adhered to for that particular commission.

TimeScales:-

At the time of submission of a commission (or an order query) an estimated completion date will be quoted. This date will reflect any commissions that are already confirmed and in progress.

If you do require your portrait for a special occasion or date, please specify this on your order. I will do whatever possible to achieve this date for you, however I do deal with commissions on a first-come first-served basis.

I will not be held responsible for any delays to completion dates due to reasons that are beyond my control.

Delivery:-

Portraits for delivery within the UK will be packaged accordingly and sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day. Portraits for all other worldwide destinations will be packaged accordingly and sent via the Royal Mail Airsure service.

Pre-Approval of Finished Portraits & Customer Satisfaction :-

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost priority to me in order to uphold my professional reputation. I endeavour to produce a true likeness of your pet. On nearing completion of a portrait, I will send a preview image to my clients for their approval. I will make any necessary alterations at this point, free of charge.

Upon receipt of their finished portrait, and in the unlikely event that a client does not think that a true likeness has bee achieved, I will make any further alerations at a cost of £15.

If a client does not wish to keep their portrait after this point, I will refund your payment (less the cost of the deposit and any additional postage charged) upon return of the portrait. However, in order to comply with this guarantee, I must be informed of a client's intention to return within 48 hours of receipt of the finished portrait. The portrait must be returned undamaged within 21 days.

Reproduction and publishing rights for all artwork, remain with Marie Huntrods. Images must not be copied, reproduced or published in any form without my prior written consent. This also applies to any photographs which have been taken by me. The client agrees that any commissioned images may be used by Marie Huntrods for promotional purposes, prints for sale or any other purpose.
